| | | The teddy with two names |
| | The cuddly bear arrived at BBC Hereford & Worcester without a name so we appealed to listeners across Herefordshire and Worcestershire to choose a name for it. |
 | | | BBC Hereford & Worcester have joined forces with Acorns Childrens Hospice to raise £4 million to build a new hospice in Worcester. We wanted you to suggest a name for our latest and cutest addition to the office. There are now two bears, one in Worcestershire and one in Herefordshire. The Worcestershire bear is called "ARCHIE BEAR". You can make the word CARE which is what the children will get and ARCH - a support - the children and their families will be supported by the hospice. The winner was Diane Wright from Kidderminster. In Herefordshire the bear is called "OAKLEA". Oak for obvious reasons - From Little Acorns great Oak's grow - and LEA is a shelter, which is what the hospice will be. The winner was Sue Gough from Fownhope. The bears can be bought from the receptions at either Hereford or Worcester for £6.50, or by post, for £7. All profits will go to the 'The Acorns Children's Hospice Three Counties Appeal'. To order your bear send a SAE with a cheque made payable to: BBC Home Services to the address below, or ring 01905 748485 quoting which bear you would like.
