Jason's career started when he won a DJ competition back in 1988, after being on hospital radio for a couple of years.

He's presented shows from tigers cages, helicopters, and even during a training session with Hereford United.

Meeting the stars

Jason has also interviewed many big musical names including Robbie Williams, Elton John, Cliff Richard and Tom Jones, comedians Matt Lucas, David Walliams and Ricky Gervais, plus a clutch of Hollywood stars that include David Schwimmer, Elijah Wood, Mickey Rourke and Catherine Zeta Jones.

But he was truly bowled over when meeting his hero Sir Ian Botham.

Early riser

As a former baker, Jason should have no trouble getting out of bed for a 6am start on Saturday breakfast.

He has spent his entire 20 years in commercial radio on Breakfast shows, and is back broadcasting to the two counties for the second time in his career.

Relaxing

In his spare time, Jason enjoys reading autobiographies, walking his Jack Russell and being Dad's taxi to his teenage son.

He's more of a TV fan than movies man, and his one ambition is to do a lap of the Top Gear track.
