She gives us an insight into this hugely demanding but very rewarding role.
Not everyone's cut out to be a Samaritan, but Alison from Herefordshire finds it hugely rewarding. ![]() Alison Fawcett She's part of a large national team of volunteers, who're ready to talk to anyone in distress 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. She has enormous compassion for callers who she describes as ordinary folk, who just happen to be going through a tough time. She digs deep into her own experiences to tell us why she became a Samaritan. If you need to talk to someone or if you're interested in becoming a volunteer, you can contact the Samaritans by ringing 08457909090, or by email jo@samaritans.org last updated: 19/03/2008 at 14:00 You are in: Hereford and Worcester > Video Nation > I'm a Samaritan |
