"Not sure why it was called the Jazz Club, because I don't remember much jazz, in fact I don't remember too much about those evenings at the back of what was then the New Inn in Ross (now the Eagle). "Hence my contribution: can anyone remind me of the bands that played there before the Top Spot (now Jacqueline's) opened. "I guess it was 1963/1964 - I remember Alexis Korner was a regular. "It was a wild time, which is probably why I can't remember! I just remember some great bands, great friends and great fun.
