Flood HeroesYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > People > Flood Heroes > Flood Hero: Village Help ![]() Flood Hero: Village HelpNominated by Debbie Anderson Richard Hunt helped the people of Sedgeberrow, visiting every household affected by the floods. Richard is on the parish council of Sedgeberrow and has worked endlessly to help all the villagers that were flooded. He has gone round and checked each household that was affected by the floods, providing them with cleaning materials, binbags etc and has put together a neighbourhood watch scheme throughout the night to make sure that the goods people have had to put out in their gardens aren't ransacked. Richard is self-employed and has put his job on hold to help the other villagers. I met Richard as I work for Worcestershire County Council and was in a flood crisis centre in Sedgeberrow for a week helping with advice to the affected villagers and came to realise just how much Richard has done for the local community. last updated: 21/04/2008 at 15:54 SEE ALSOYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > People > Flood Heroes > Flood Hero: Village Help |
