Flood HeroesYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > People > Flood Heroes > Flood Hero: Baby ![]() Flood Hero: BabyNominated by Vikki Gittins Vikki was stuck on the motorway for 10 hours with her 9-month-old baby when two unknown drivers offered some vital travel advice. I had pulled over for the night as I had been stuck in traffic for 10 hours with a 9-month-old baby becoming more and more hysterical. I decided that enough was enough and pulled over so that I could change, feed and cuddle my daughter, then hopefully get some sleep. Two young men tapped on my window and said to me: "Please don't stay here for the night as they are gong to close the road soon, and you will be stuck most of tomorrow as well." They told me that a friend had already passed through at Strensham services and it was clear the rest of the way. I am still grateful to my anonymous heroes as I don't even want to think about what would have happened if I had stayed put. last updated: 21/04/2008 at 15:51 SEE ALSOYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > People > Flood Heroes > Flood Hero: Baby |
