He managed to battle his way through the flooding, and exhausted, continued to make deliveries around the Evesham area.

After the awful day on Friday, there was no milk to be had in Evesham, and we had taken in an elderly lady who was flooded out from Burford Gardens.

Imagine our surprise when the dog barked at gone 9pm on the Saturday - and it was our milkman, exhausted, with his wife, making deliveries.

How he managed to get milk and deliver it I will never know, but we and our guest were all so grateful.

We needed milk, and he got it to us.

He is our hero!
