Donovan paid BBC Hereford and Worcester a visit, and explained over a Pie and a Pint to Tony Fisher exactly what Colours is all about. He shot to fame in the mid sixties after a series of showcase live performances on the pop TV series Ready Steady Go! After signing with the British label Pye Records, Donovan began a long and successful collaboration with record producer Mickie Most and had a string of hit singles and albums between 1965 and 1970.
