The roots of Common Orange began growing a little over four years ago when Luke and Simon (who met through work) decided to form a band.

Through various setups and line ups they have evolved to the form they are now, with the addition of Doug on lead guitar, early in 2004.

With the driving rhythmical powerhouse of Morf on Drums and Vini on bass they are definitely starting to find their niche.

After successful gigs at venues in Hereford the band knew it was time to go into the recording studio to try and capture their live sound.

Two days later, after a lot of help from Steve Icke (their live sound engineer), they came out with their ‘Noize In Your Head’ EP, a 4 track demo showcasing four of the bands original songs – the poppy but catchy ‘World Don’t Revolve Around You’, the in-your-face melting riff of ‘Feul’, the funky ‘Nightcrawler’ and the pounding anthemic bass driven rocker ‘Calling You In’.

These were all crowd favourites, and at the first gig the EP was available, it sold out.

Common Orange are proud to be born and bred Herefordians and would love to put the City on the map.

Luke from Common Orange says "We are proud of our roots and although the music scene in the City is not very busy we always enjoy playing here.

"We love the crowd response we get and it seems everyone is crying out for this type of entertainment.

"We're hard working lads but enjoy our music so much.

"We love playing live and are aiming to get gigs around the country eventually but will always remember where we came from."

After a quiet spell, Doug left Common Orange in 2008.
