Whale and dolphin watching - trips organised by boat operators on Tobermory harbour. Book in advance during high season. Sea Eagles - reserve run by Forestry Commission, RSPB and others at Loch Frisa.
Essential kit:
Stock up on food and drinks for trips lasting five or six hours. Make sure you've got your camera, binoculars and warm weather gear. Sea sickness tablets may be useful in rough weather. Don't forget to bring sun cream in Summer.

Best season: Summer. Whale watching season runs April-October.
Access:
Access for wheelchair users on the ferry to Mull. Check disabled access with individual boat operators. Smaller whale watching boats may not have wheelchair access.
Getting there:
Daily ferries to Mull. It's a 45 minute crossing from Oban. Various small boat operators run whale watching trips which cost around £40 - more information via the website. Allow plenty of time to get to the harbour for your boat trip - many roads on Mull are narrow and winding. Trip info via the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust.
Opening times:
Year round but not all attractions and boat trips operate in Winter. The Sea Eagles hide at Loch Frisa is open Easter-July and trips must be booked in advance.
