Tim Rea

Tim Rea

The Lymington-based musician who describes his music as relaxed and rootsy with quite a happy vibe played a live session with his sister Abi for South:Live on Sunday 15 June.

Tim's solo career started with an impromptu gig at a bar in a French ski resort. His music looks to acoustic giants like Paul Simon, Neil Young and James Taylor.

"Basically I’m into all sorts of music and would rather be out playing than sitting on my arse watching Eastenders!"

You can listen to three tracks from Tim's South:Live session and his interview with Phil Jackson by clicking the audio links above.

If you're in a band from Hampshire or the Isle of Wight and would like to be considered for the show simply send in your CD together with a completed South:Live Entry Form and keep your fingers crossed!
