Children in NeedYou are in: Hampshire > Children in Need > Pops Incorporated UK ![]() Charlie Crocker and Pudsey Pops Incorporated UKJoin BBC Radio Solent's Charlie Crocker for a fundraising night with the Pops Incorporated UK orchestra in aid of BBC Children in Need. The Pops Incorporated UK orchestra are tuning up for a special concert at the Thornden Hall, Chandlers Ford on Friday 16 November when they'll entertain an audience in aid of BBC’s Children in Need appeal. The show will be compered by BBC Radio Solent presenter, Charlie Crocker and will also feature guest vocalist Natalie Baker, well known for her polished performances with various amateur dramatic groups. Pops Incorporated UK launched as an independent ensemble just over a year ago and draws on the talent of some of the best young musicians from Hampshire. Modelled on the famous Boston and Toronto Pops Orchestras, the orchestra, which is the only one of its kind in England, plays popular styles of music, from film themes to rock tunes and light classics. The Children in Need concert will include music from Pirates of the Caribbean, Grease and the James Bond films and is guaranteed to give you an evening of foot tapping entertainment. "We're all looking forward to joining in the fun of Children in Need,” said Musical Director, Ron Armstrong. "We are never happier than when we are on that stage bringing smiles to our audience and with all the tremendous support that we have been given from BBC Radio Solent, Thornden Concert Hall and local businesses to help put on this fabulous concert, it is a real pleasure to be helping such a worthwhile cause." The concert is at Thornden Hall, Thornden School in Chandlers Ford starting at 7.30pm.
