Foulon Cemetery Walk

For this walk Eddie Parks decided to find a quiet place near St Peter Port where you could go for a lunch hour walk.

Eddie decided such a place might be the Foulon Cemetery thanks to its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Starting at the bottom of the hill he first headed up towards the chapel before looping back around his car.

The Foulon Cemetery features a large variation in 'cemetery architecture' with everything from plane stones to the ornate cross at the grave of John Issac Le Lacheur which features a carved anchor and chain.

Also in the cemetery is an area devoted to Commonwealth War Graves mostly containing the graves of sailors and Royal Marines who died onboard the HMS Charybdis in 1943.
