Band History

Joe and Andy met at a party, played all night and decided there was something they should do with guitar and harp.

Nigel Davies

Nigel Davies.

Nigel and Andy met at work and share an interest in blues, jazz and having a good time. Paul came out of the woodwork after a bit of a break and the band was formed.

When Joe left the island for university in Autumn 2008 the band recruited veteran blues guitarist Alan and vocalist Graham who added a hint of funk to bands sound.

Among their influences the band list the likes of Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker and Eric Clapton.

The Future

Spoonful want to play as many gigs as possible.

Joe Corbin

Joe Corbin.

Also to play a good few acoustic gigs with Nigel's Double Bass (Helga), she is beautiful and deserves to be taken out more often.

Their Favourite Gig

Andy said: "So far the best gig has to be the one with Tora Bora at the (Fermain) Tavern. Lovely crowd and a great atmosphere.

"I think well do that one again!

"And doing a live accoustic session with John Randall. We would like to do that one again as well!"
