Ferox Album PreviewBy Tom Girard Ahead of the release of their debut album, I took a trip to Ferox's practice shed to talk to them about making the record and what it's like being an extreme metal band in Guernsey. Guernsey has many old sheds dotted about its landscape, some containing nothing more than remnants of the growing industry, other housing new small businesses. Well there is one shed in the back lanes of The Vale which, as I approached, sounded like it was housing some kind of ferocious beast. Upon entering, however, I wasn't confronted by any sort of animal but by three men armed with a guitar, bass and drum kit respectively, they are Ferox. ![]() Pierre beating the skins. Having been a force to be reckoned with on Guernsey's music scene for around a year they have been holed up for the last few months recording tracks for their debut album and I was here for a sneak preview. From the three tracks I heard, the eloquently titled '10,000 Bodies', 'Recoil In Revulsion' and 'Rancid Abortion Chorus', their record is going to be as brutal and heavy as their live shows. I spoke to them about both the new record and what it's like to be a group of true death metal fans who stand out from the crowd on the local scene...
