VietnameaslesA three piece band who played a unique mix of punk, hardcore, dub and ska, all with their own unique style. Who Were They?Taz: Drums ![]() Ryan. Andy: Guitar and vocals Ryan: Bass and vocals Band HistoryFrom the flames of Limefire and the third degree burns of Reznik came Vietnameasles. Ryan and Andy, previously of Reznik, were left without a drummer and a purpose when Jamie went to travel to New Zealand, in search of the promised land and better taste. Step up Mr Paul Etasse, drummer and hardcore enthusiast. After a few jams in Paul's lounge the 'Measles were formed. It nearly didn't happen, and its a shame it did, but it's all over now anyway. ![]() Andy. Playing some kind of excuse for punk rock, the 'Measles set themselves a challenge to look stupid on stage and make fast music. Paul is obsessed with slayer, Ryan has a mullet and if Andy had an amp, it would go all the way to 11. The band completed their debut recording, the EP 'Get Home With My Downies' in summer of 2007 and shortly after it all ended as Ryan was leaving the island to go to uni. Their influences included Mclusky, The Dead Kennedy's, Black flag, F-Minus, Minor Threat and a lot more punk rock. last updated: 24/07/07 SEE ALSO
