Band History

The Swallows got together in 2004 to bring some much-needed glamour into the local music scene and inject a touch of lighthearted cheeky pop noise.

In 2007 the band saw the departure of Lady K who was replaced on guitar and vocals by Rocqchick.

They list as influences 60's girl groups, Wall of Sound, dirty garage, The Cramps, Polly Jean, The Smiths, Coxon, Bros, Pretty Shoes & Handclaps.

The Future

Their dream is to play more than two gigs before another Swallow hatchling appears!

Favourite Gig

"There's only 5 to choose from so far but apart from our first outing at the Fermain Tavern in April 05, our comeback gig at Pieces in March 07 was fab.

"Fuelled by the return of our lady drummer, cheap white wine and a smiley crowd, it reminded us why we love performing so much."
