The Education Department is responsible to the States of Guernsey for the administration of education in the Bailiwick excluding Sark which operates its own school. The Department looks after three infant schools, 10 primary schools, two junior schools, five secondary schools, three special needs schools and the College of Further Education in Guernsey as well as an all-age school in Alderney and a small primary school in Herm. The department is to advise the States on matters relating to:- The provision of Education (including vocational and industrial training) in Guernsey, Alderney and Herm. It's also responsible for:-
