States Workings

The Culture and Leisure department advises the States on matters relating to:

Promotion of arts and crafts in Guernsey including providing financial assistance.

Promotion of all sport and recreation in the Island.

States' museums, galleries, historical and archaeological sites.

The Liberation celebrations.

It is responsible for:-

• The management of the Beau Sejour Leisure Centre
• Liaising with the Council of Churches to organise the religious service to be held on Liberation Day
• Promotion and administration of public lotteries, including the use of proceeds.
