Padre Pio at the Battle of the Bands 2006

Padre Pio

A three piece mixing various styles of playing to form their own unique sound, including one of Guernsey's few saxophonists in a rock band.

Who Are They?

Henry Castledine: Lead Vocals, Bass, Sax

Ben Corbet: Guitar, Vocals

Henry

Henry

Nick Falla: Drums

Band History

Nick wanted to move from guitar on to drums, Henry wanted to do vocals as well as bass and Ben was the obvious option for a guitarist.

The different influences between the three of them are evident throughout their music: funk bass, classic rock/blues/funk guitar and indie drumming would be the only way to describe it although its a poor attempt at portraying the music.

The Future

With Ben going to Salford in September to study guitar tech an Nick and Henry at Exeter and Sussex already the plan is to gig across those three corners of England.

Recording is the priority at the moment as they have over an albums worth of material waiting and need at least a demo to send to UK venues.

Their Favourite Gig

They said "Probably winning the crowd award at the Discharge Battle of the Bands 2006. We have a gig at The Cavern in Exeter lined up though which may top it, time will tell..."
