BBC Radio Gloucestershire's midmorning presenter, John Rockley, is spending seven days walking down the River Severn with members of seven local charities hoping to raise £7,000 for them. He'll be broadcasting his programme live from seven places along the route and staying overnight in pubs and listeners' homes. The walk will begin outside Tewkesbury Abbey at 1pm on Sunday 5th September, mostly following the Severn Way alongside the east bank of the river, and finish at the SARA HQ, Sharpness, on Saturday 11th September.
