Nine key arts organisations in Gloucestershire are working together to give 50 people the opportunity to get involved in something new, exciting and different this autumn. They are searching for local people to volunteer as Arts Ambassadors to promote Gloucestershire arts organisations and to encourage other people to attend. In return for committing some time to being an ambassador over the course of 12 months, the arts organisations are offering: - Free tickets to events
- Special offers for friends and colleagues
- A chance to see behind the scenes of the organisations
- Full information about what is going on in the arts scene in Gloucestershire.
Networking The nine arts organisations, which cover the full spectrum of art forms, are working collaboratively to ensure that the widest potential audience is aware of the value of the arts in the county and how easily they can access them. By establishing a network of Ambassadors, the group aim to reach further into local communities where it's hoped that the scheme will encourage new audiences, especially those who have previously had little access or involvement in the arts within Gloucestershire. How to get involved Gloucestershire Arts Ambassadors has been funded by Arts Council Englands Grants for Arts and Gloucestershire County Council and is supported by South West Arts Marketing. If you, or a friend, are interested in becoming a Gloucestershire Arts Ambassador or are interested in finding out a little more, ring or pop into one of the participating venues listed below and pick up a leaflet and application form.
