Michelle Newbold and Nicky Howe launched the website in response to demand from readers of their bi-monthly magazine and email newsletter. "We were also asked quite often by local mums 'when are we going to get a website?'" said Michelle. Launch "So when launched one in March, we thought it would be popular, but were amazed to get over 100 hits in the first month alone, and all through just mentioning our site in our magazine."We hope the website will appeal to parents outside of our area too," added Michelle. "We include craft activities that parents and children can do together, information and advice on a wide range of parenting topics, and ideas for days out that would appeal not only to local parents, but also families visiting this area for a holiday, or just passing through." Magazine Michelle and Nicky met when attending a post-natal class together. We hope the website will appeal to parents outside of our area too.

"It came to my attention that the mothers in my group asked a lot of questions about varied topics to do with raising children," said Michelle. "But there was no single source of information that they could all refer to." They subsequently set up Cotswold Family Life magazine, a free publication for local parents. It now covers most of South Gloucestershire, and is still spreading across the area. You can check out their new website here. .................................................
