Golden Jubilee - the county celebrates

1977 Street Party
Remember this? Thousands organised street parties around the country for the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

Many of us can remember the Jubilee celebrations of 1977.

This year's Golden Jubilee promises to be a very British celebration with all the added vibrancy of our multi-cultural, new millennial society.

Above all, celebrate and enjoy!

Wed May 29St John's Primary School, CheltenhamJubilee Party in the playground for kids and families. The dress them is red white and blue and the children will each receive a commemorative coin.
Wed May 29 Gardner's Lane Early Years Centre, CheltenhamMore than 100 toddlers under four will have an old fashioned Jubilee Party with dressing up and party games. Celebrations will be opened by a special guest.
Thu May 30Staunton and CorseQueen's Jubilee Celebrations. All children under 16 in the two villages will be presented with commemorative mugs. There will be entertainment and a barbecue.

Street style party and fancy dress parade
After a week of activities around Kings and Queens the week will finish with a Street style party and fancy dress on Friday May 31st at 12 noon.
Both children and staff will be in fancy dress representing British historical figures as well as Kings and Queens from fiction and the Commonwealth.
There are planned parades, games and presentation of commemorative mugs.We do invite you to attend. On behalf of children and staff of Tredworth Infant School Julie Gillard (teacher).
