Laugh if you like, but I don't think Kauto will even be placed. Too much pressure from Denman (my nap) will force the mistakes out of Kauto and he will fade.

If the ground stays good to soft as it looks like it will. I think Sam thomas will pile on the pressure with denman jumping like a machine. Kauto star can make mistakes when the pressure is on. If Ruby manages to get him around with no mistakes it will an interesting run up the hill.

My Tip is Kauto Star, however advice would be to back him before the day because he will go odds on. Big E/W is Turpin Green who would have been within a length of Kauto Star last year, if it wasn't for the loose horse.

quoting mr taylor 'use and abuse', i would have once agreed with you however i have now seen how well the majority of race horses are treated and they are not far short of kings. They are bred for racing and that is what they want to do. The horses competing at cheltenham are wirth thousands to the owners and it is not with in their investment interests to use and abuse their horses. To the point, Kauto star can so far only be described as amazing, however i have the urge to back Denman as he may surprise a few people on the day as im still slightly unsure as to the whole story about Kauto Stars injured fetlock. I wish all the horses well and wish luck to all the punters!

Denman is good no doubt, but Kauto star is in a different kind of class. he is directly related through the male line to Eclipse. The only other two jump horses of note through the male line are; Arkle and Desert Orchid. Enough said!

It is a case of: "Denman, come and beat me". If Kauto could speak that is what he would say. Kauto gave a fabulous display at Ascot and he is the one. Denman is a super horse but built very differently; Cheltenham often rewards those who have won there before and Kauto Star runs better left-handed. Most important of all come home safe. It was 1983 when Michael Dickenson trained the 'Famous Five', we shall see if Paul Nicholls can pull off a similar result.
