Flood crisis: useful contacts

Contact details for help and advice during Gloucestershire's flood crisis.

BBC Gloucestershire has put together the following list of telephone numbers that may be of use during the flood crisis.

This is not a comprehensive list but is being updated regularly. The situation is changing all the time - please listen to BBC Radio Gloucestershire for minute-by-minute updates on the flood crisis and the water and power supply around the county - click on the Listen Live link on this page or tune in on:

    The British Red Cross has set up a helpline to co-ordinate offers of accommodation and practical help. Volunteers at a Red Cross centre in Bristol will direct assistance to those in greatest need. They are also ready to take calls from people requiring help.

  • Furniture Recycling Project - if you have furniture to donate to help flood victims call 01452 302303
  • RSPCA Appeal - The RSPCA has launched an urgent appeal to help its flood rescue work - a third of all its field staff are involved in what it is classing as a national emergency. To donate call 08707 540 540 or visit www.rspca.org.uk (link on right of this page)

I have had a FLOODWALL installed at my property because they are local and based in gloucestershire. I have used it twice and has done the job. Also Gloucestershire Fire Service use them.
