Patrick O'Mahoney is rewarded for persevering against life's hard knocks and alcoholism.
Formerly an alcoholic and unable to read Patrick was considered by some to be a hopeless case.
But having managed to land a responsible job, and with a literacy course under his belt, he has boosted his self esteem and his standard of living. Patrick's perseverance is now being rewarded in other ways too - resulting in a trip to a special ceremony in London.
