Former frontman for The Kinks and Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame member Ray Davies takes to the Pyramid Stage on the closing day of this year's festival. With a wealth of classics under his belt, the singer songwriter is often credited with bringing English culture to the forefront with his songs capturing ordinary British life. From the intimate Waterloo Sunset, to the rollicking story of Lola to the wry sense of satire that shines through on Dedicated Follower of Fashion, Davies remains one of the most revered writers and performers the UK has produced. With five solo records in addition to his Kinks back catalogue, Davies is now working on a collaborative album of Kinks songs featuring the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and newer artists Mumford & Sons. He will be joined by The Crouch End Festival Chorus for his Glasto appearance who'll no doubt have the added backing of a large crowd when Ray pulls out the classics.
