Anthemic and heartfelt
Influenced by bands like Echo and the Bunnymen and Athlete, NewIslands are a great new band from the Midlands. Melding heart-on-sleeve lyrics and driving guitars to create melodic, emotive indie pop music, they put on a very professional show at Glastonbury 2010.
