MGMT

Do believe the hype

Everyone's favourite new band in 2008, Brooklyn's MGMT, proved they're more than just a flash in the pan when they released their follow up album, Congratulations, in April this year. Continuing on a much more esoteric and darker path, MGMT, led by Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser, enlisted the production guidance of Pete Kember aka Sonic Boom to pull together their mix of neo-psych rock in the studio. Always aiming to sonically surprise, MGMT, make a refreshing return to Glastonbury following rousing turns on The John Peel Stage and Park stage two years ago. They kick off the evening proceedings on Sunday.
