Prodigious folk talent
Originally a member of Twickenham's Noah and the Whale, Laura Marling has been at the heart of the blooming London folk scene in recent years. Her latest album, I Speak Because I Can entered the UK charts at no.4 in March and was met with widespread critical admiration. The power and poetic beauty of her songwriting has seen her compared to heavyweights like Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan, so you can expect her Saturday night slot on the Park Stage at Glasto to draw an impressive crowd.
