This easy-to-grow perennial enjoys a sunny spot in moist but well-drained soil. Blooming from July to September, its plate-like flowers are bright red when they first open, fading to an attractive shade of apricot as they fade. Be careful when handling the foliage as it may irritate the skin. To propagate, divide plants in spring.
