Dark-leaved dahlias are very much in vogue at the moment making wonderful additions to the late summer border for their foliage as much for their flowers. 'Moonfire' is a fine variety with single pale yellow blooms, blushed with red at their centre. Lift the tubers after the first frost and overwinter indoors in a frost-free place.
