An unusual but easily grown tree with heart-shaped green leaves that change to rich orange and pink in autumn. Its fallen leaves give off a pleasant aroma of candyfloss. It flowers just before the leaves emerge, but these are fairly insignificant. Find a sheltered place to plant it in the garden, preferably near other trees in deep, moisture-retentive soil. It is a stunning specimen tree.
