A superb species for the border with erect, branching stems bearing large, loose trusses of milky-blue, open bell-shaped flowers right through the summer. A spectacular sight when in full flower and looks a treat planted beside purple foliage. It does well in sun or partial shade but must have rich moisture-retentive soil to encourage plenty of growth and flowers.
