Butterfly bushes are like magnets for butterflies when they bloom in summer. 'Nanho Blue' has beautiful purple-red flowers and is as easy to grow as any of the butterfly bushes. Left unpruned it can get very leggy so prune hard back every spring just before the plant comes into growth. Although this seems drastic, it will still flower the same year.
