This spurge was created from a cross between E. mellifera and E. stygiana. It is a fast growing shrubby plant that needs space to develop to its full spread, having architectural stems clothed with narrow, dark evergreen leaves with an attractive central creamy-white midrib. Flowering in early to mid summer, clusters of honey-scented, yellow-brown flowers are followed by attractive brown seed heads bearing explosive pods. Ideal for a Mediterranean style or gravel garden, for flower arranging and in a container for a patio. Garden care: Cut back spent flower heads in autumn, weed out unwanted seedlings regularly. Always take care when handling spurge, the sap is toxic and a skin irritant. Always wear gloves.
