A compact, evergreen shrub with medium size, mid-green leaves. The purple flower buds open to funnel-shaped white flowers with pretty yellow throats. This cultivar is extremely tolerant of sun. As with all rhododendrons, acid soil is preferable. If growing in a large pot always choose an ericaceous compost for potting up.
