Meadow cranesbill

Geranium pratense is stunning plant in the border. It produces saucer-shaped flowers, in shades of white, blue or violet, in early to mid-summer. There are many beautiful varieties of this plant which have been selected for their particularly fine flower colours. Trouble-free, this plant will thrive in most soils, except boggy ones. As a perennial, it will come up year after year. When the clump gets too large, simply lift the plant in spring and divide into smaller pieces. A prolific self-seeder, it is best to cut off seed heads before they mature.
