For best cropping results, treat this climbing vine as an annual - you can always save the seed from the fruit for the following year. It prefers a warm, sunny spot, and as with all cucurbits, keep well-watered and feed regularly to ensure a good yield throughout the season. Sow in spring indoors and plant out after the last expected frost. Give the plants some protection and some climbing support and you'll be rewarded with fruits throughout the summer. The white flesh of this very robust pumpkin can be used for making jams and other sweets.
