This is an excellent choice for a long, continuous summer show of creamy yellow flowers on a floribunda rose. Launched in 2006 at the Hampton Court Flower Show, and named after the TV presenter Fern Britton, it's good at giving a long border a gentle, pastel start, leading up to brighter, stronger colours. It's also very effective at the foot of a wall covered in climbers when all the flowers tend to start above chest height. Prune in February by cutting back from one-half to three-quarters of the stems.
