'Crimestoppers' is a good choice for a short red floribunda that produces a continuous show of flowers throughout summer, with a nice contrast of glossy green leaves, which won't suddenly get struck by the likes of black spot. The name has nothing to do with the rose, and was chosen because it was launched in 2006 by actress Trudie Goodwin, who plays June Ackland in ITV's The Bill, with funds going to the Crimestoppers Charity. Prune in February by anything from one-half to three-quarters.
