This is a lightly scented red floribunda that has attractive, glossy green leaves and good disease resistance. Like other floribundas, it needs to be hard pruned in February by anything from one-half to three-quarters, before the new growth begins. It can be grown in a special rose bed, but make sure that the neighbouring roses are also floribundas and of a similar size. It is named after Lady Catherine Petre, a sterling member of the Essex Women's Institute
