One of the best species for willow sculptures and fencing 'Cane Osier' is a vigorous growing species that produces bright green shoots. These are very flexible and can be woven easily into different shapes. It is an easy plant to grow but needs a moisture retentive soil that doesn't dry out too much to thrive. If you wish to use it for living sculptures it should be planted in the spring.
