Silver Flora medal
The Labyrinth Garden

Design inspiration

Andrew Wiggins"I became fascinated by labyrinths after stumbling by accident across on old book in a library. It was filed in the wrong section and I felt at the time that there was something auspicious about this 'chance find' This led to our specialisation in the design and construction of garden labyrinths and mazes and some amazing garden installations which we are showcasing at the show.

"In consideration of the space we have selected a 3 circuit design laid out in natural stone paviors especially cut for the garden. The same labyrinth design is recreated in an elegant spiraling steel sculpture and in an angular form steel trellis. There are no flowers in the garden, instead trees, hedging and grasses create a restful ambience to heighten the meditative experience of walking the labyrinth."
