Design inspiration "It was a visit to the show last year that inspired me to study garden design. I would never have guessed that a year later I'd be here exhibiting. My inspiration for the tropical garden came from my travels around Asia and I hope it evokes a sense of the Far East. I wanted to design a secret garden in the jungle, feeling the sense of peace and tranquillity I experienced in the temple garden there.
"On my course we are encouraged to look at all the arts for inspiration so the Paisley bedding was inspired by Indian textiles. I hope the garden will inspire and challenge people to see what's possible in a small urban space." Julia adds: "Combining horticulture with design skills for Hampton Court has been creative bliss. I've always loved tropical planting and hope to specialise in it." | | Designers, Beth Rogers and Julia Harding |
