"The inspiration for my design came from my fascination with the strong images of moongates used in classical Chinese gardens, which I discovered when visiting my daughter there last year.
"The garden is designed to be viewed as a small walled courtyard, set within a much larger garden, providing a tranquil area for private reflection and relaxing. Planted in blues, mauves and greys, it aims to create a feeling of serenity, coolness and harmony that is both welcoming and restful."
