Design inspiration "The theme for this garden, the Transit of Venus, conveys the excitement of scientific discovery, linked to geographical and botanical exploration, that enabled Captain Cook's first measurements of the Transit, and the mathematical calculations that led to the measurement of our solar system. It is also a metaphor of the transitory nature of undergraduate life.
"The garden is modernist, slightly surreal in style and looks towards the future. It shows time and space, the colours of the spectrum and the brilliant individualism of each plant and flower." | | Designer, Sue Goss |
