"We were approached by The National Benevolent Fund for the Aged to create a garden to celebrate their fiftieth anniversary. To raise funds they are holding tea parties all over the UK and this garden will be a tea party in garden form", Garden Co-ordinator, Hilary Thomas.

"This garden is a modern classic for any age group with simple, clean lines. Central to the garden are two comfy brown and cream sofas, a tea set and a plate of iced cakes, though the cakes may not last until the end of the first day! Across the back is a still pool with a very beautiful amorphous sculpture called Messenger of the Spirit rising from it."
