Design inspiration "It's an outdoor renaissance theatre garden. I was inspired by my time at Hampton Court last year discovering its history. The garden rooms close to the house are known as pleasances, small private areas.
"This is an historic garden inspired by a Ben Johnson play written for the young French wife of Charles 1st Queen. Her favourite role to play was Flora, Goddess of Flowers who will make an appearance at the show, played by my 14-year old god-daughter. She will sit on a throne of oak on a wildflower meadow. The garden is parterre-style and filled with white roses and lilies." | | Designer, Anthea Guthrie |
